Just before 1500 hours this afternoon, Engine Company 827 was dispatched to the 5600 block of Regency Park Court for an investigation of damage to a building. Upon their arrival, they found there to be severe structural damage. This would be the start of a long evening as the partial collapse of 2 separate buildings occurred while units from company 27 and PGFD were operating on scene. A full evacuation was ordered for the entire complex and the members of Engine, Rescue Squad and Ambulance 827 assisted citizens out of their apartments and out of harms way. In total, 17 separate buildings were evacuated, many of which were significantly comprised, however, no major injuries were reported and all residents were removed and accounted for.
