Engine 827 Dispatched to a Trailer Fire in Anne Arundel County with Aid of GPS-Based Dispatch
The Morningside Volunteer Fire Department is committed to providing service to anyone in need. Years ago the MVFD frequently responded all over the State of Maryland with our specialized equipment and it’s happening again. Recently, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, in an effort to get the appropriate resource to the scene in a timely manner adopted and currently employ a GPS based dispatch system (similar to the PGFD, DCFD, and others in the NCR).
As a result, resources are being utilized that previously were not. This morning Rescue Engine 827 was recommended as an Engine Company with other partners from our region to a reported trailer fire in Anne Arundel County. We commend the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and their commitment to providing resources to their communities, the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department in regard to their support and are proud to serve wherever we are needed.
