Morningside Volunteer Fire Department Expands EMS Services (We Need You)
Morningside Volunteers Expand EMS Services
Chief Mike Poetker encourages the members of the Department to expand services to meet the needs of the public. He also seeks ways to meet the training needs of present and future members. The Board and the Members recently voted to revise the By-Laws to include EMS Officers. Yesterday MVFD received a new EMS vehicle to enhance its EMS program. With the new additions the EMS Supervisors we will be able to monitor EMS service delivery and also assist EMS providers real time on the scene and at the hospital.
New EMS Only Members See Opportunities at MVFD
We are receiving new members from all over the US who want to specialize in EMS. We can ensure members have the full range of opportunities to apply their knowledge. This opportunity is the next level of service. Members are also joining from Andrews Air Force Base and George Washington University for EMS.
By adding the supervisor, MVFD seeks to implement a systematic and proactive approach. We seek to continuously improve all processes during the delivery of quality emergency medical services. MVFD EMS improvement will be through a combination of customer input, EMS provider training/needs, data acquisition and a continuous improvement process from a “system-wide” perspective.
If you are interested in furthering your EMS career to the supervisor level or look to experience the full range of skills development then Morningside VFD is the place for you to join.
