Oxon Hill Fire
October 11th, 2015- In the evening hours of Oct. 11th Company 27 was back on the street responding to the 2nd ‘Working Fire’ of the day. A Box Alarm was sounded for a reported fire in an apartment in the 1200 BLK of Southview Drive in the ‘Oxon Hill’ neighborhood of Company 42’s area. Prince George’s County Public Safety Communications received calls of smoke coming from the top floor of an apartment building. First arriving crews found the same and immediately requested the ‘Working Fire Dispatch’. The Rescue Engine, dispatched on the call as 3rd due Special Service, arrived on scene as 1st Special Service, and command ordered the crew to work as the same. Searches were conducted, the fire was quickly placed under control, and utilities were controlled. Company 27 was back in service quickly ready for the next call.
