Thursday, August 12, 2010 During a morning Thunder Storm in Southern Prince George's County, units were alerted for a roof collapse with a broken gas line @ 4949 Allentown Road at the From the Heart Ministries Church.

E271 and Rescue Squad 27 quickly arrived on scene to find a large section of roof collapse into the building.  Units assisted with the evacuation and monitored the building while a roof unit hung in the balance.  The heavy amounts of rain in a short period is believed to be the cause of the collapse.

No civilian injuries were reported, however the building suffered serious damage.

Engine and Squad cleared in about 2 hours.
