Sunday, August 1, 2010 Rescue Squad 27 and other units from PG County were dispatched to assist DCFD with a vehicle accident with entrapment at 2611 Southern Ave.  The Rescue Squad arrived and went to work with DC Squad 3 to extricate the patient.  Crews removed the driver door, took off the roof, and used rams and spreaders to free the patient.  The patient was extricated in under 20 minutes and flown to a local trauma center.
